Burkholderia pseudomallei was isolated from a healthy adolescent patient with a fatal community acquired pneumonia and sepsis. Further investigation and environment sampling were performed to identify the route of infection. Both clinical and environmental B. pseudomallei isolates were characterized up to genome level followed by in silico bioinformatic analysis.
