Layers Milwaukee Qualitative

This project uses longitudinal, qualitative data to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of adopting pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV infection among high-risk Black women. In addition, this project explores situational cues, structural and syndemic barriers, and how they relate to PrEP adoption and sexual health. We will use the results to develop structural-level interventions (e.g., family-based supportive housing) and a culturally-tailored, theory-based behavioral intervention to promote PrEP to prevention HIV infection.
