Transcriptome analysis of genome reduced E. coli

This research is transcriptome analysis of 28 E. coli strains with reduced genomes (KHK collection) and the wild type W3110 were obtained from the National BioResource Project, National Institute of Genetics, Shizuoka, Japan. These strains were known that genome reduced size is correlated with the growth rate, but this reason is unclear. So, we applied experimental evolution methods and calculated growth change between before and after evolution. Next, we carried out whole genome sequence and RNA-seq for all strains. We analyzed genome mutation and transcriptome data. The aim of the research is to establish a relationship between fluctuation of transcriptome and strains of the genome reduction, growth rate.
