It includes both active infestations, which are currently present and monitored, and non-active infestations, where weeds were previously reported but may have been controlled, eradicated, or require no further management at this time. Each infestation represents a geographic point or area where a regulated noxious weed species has been identified.Active infestations include sites where:A recent observation was identified.Ongoing management is planned or expected.There has been a confirmed presence within the current field season.Non-active infestations include sites where:Control efforts have been completed successfullyNo recent observations of the target weed existSites are considered under observation but with no active growth confirmedThe infestation status has been changed based on updated field inspections or landowner reportsThis dataset supports the King County Noxious Weed Control Program’s goal to track, monitor, and reduce the spread of invasive plant species harmful to agriculture, native ecosystems, recreation, and public health. Please note that infestation status reflects the most current information available but is subject to change based on seasonal fieldwork, reporting from landowners, and updated survey results. Infestation locations may vary in precision; some points represent approximate locations when detailed mapping was not available.
