Actinidia chinensis Bud and Flower Dataset (Portugal, 2024)

The Actinidia chinensis Bud and Flower Dataset provides 2,528 JPG files of Actinidia chinensis buds and flowers collected in northern Portugal during the 2024 reproductive season. The data were collected from five different Actinidia chinensis orchards in northern Portugal, covering age, variety, cultivar, training system, and region variations. Table characterises the four orchards used to acquire images. Three operators acquired images using a smartphone, iPhone 15 Pro (SP2) or Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 (SP3), with resolutions ranging from 1080×1080 to 6144×6144 pixels. During acquisition, each operator had to alternate the distances from the vegetative wall and the view angles to ensure comprehensive morphological documentation. Table shows the schedule of the eight image-acquisition sessions, listing the date, orchard, operator, and smartphone model for each.
