资源简介:
This thesis presents acoustofluidic techniques to substantially improve the synthesis and delivery of drug-carrying particles. Silicon-based ultrafast acoustofluidic micromixers are developed to control the size and distribution of particles without any chemical additives and at very high throughputs. The capability of the devices is demonstrated through the production of different systems ranging from Asthma drugs to DNA nanoparticles. The second part of the thesis explores on-demand methods for targeted and personalised aerosol drug delivery using a low-cost, disposable microfluidic platform, which can tune the droplet size and distribution on-demand according to the patients’ needs.
