LINC00221 silencing modulates glioblastoma cell motility and apoptosis through regulation of actin and cytoskeletal dynamics-associated proteins

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the deadliest type of brain tumour which remains incurable due to the aggressive and resilient traits of GBM cells. This study explores how a specific player in our genome (LINC00221) could contribute towards these unwanted traits observed in GBM cells. Research findings indicated that LINC00221 promotes mobility and survivability in GBM cells, suggesting that LINC00221 might be a significant factor in the progression of GBM. These findings provide valuable insights into brain cancer development, paving the way for future investigations into the role of LINC00221 in this context.
