Emissions trends 1990-2020.

In the report ‘Emission trends 1990-2020’, the Federal Environment Agency provides an overview of anthropogenic, i.e. man-made, air pollutant emissions in Austria: - Dust – Total particulate matter and particulate matter – Ozone precursor substances – Nitrogen oxides, non-methane and carbon monoxide volatile hydrocarbons – Acidifying and over-fertilising air pollutants – Sulphur dioxide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides – Heavy metals – Cadmium, mercury and lead – Persistent organic pollutants Trends and main contributors are analysed and up-to-date emission data are compared with mandatory environmental targets. The data are based on the results of the Austrian Air Pollution Inventory, which is compiled annually by the Federal Environment Agency.
