Yosemite National Park - Rock Fall Hazard Line Yosemite Valley - Open Data

This line delineates a rock fall hazard line in Yosemite Valley based on the analyses presented in the report "Quantitative Rock-Fall Hazard and Risk Assessment for Yosemite Valley, California" by Stock, Luco, Collins, Harp, Reichenbach, and Frankel (2011). The line marks positions on the floor of Yosemite Valley beyond which (toward the center of the valley) the frequency of occurrence of a rock-fall boulder landing beyond the line is approximately 1 in 500 years.
