This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2000 Multibeam Sonar system during Melville expedition SOJN02MV conducted in 1996 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Rachel Haymon). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data that have not been processed. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Magmatic/Tectonic Controls on Hydrothermal Discharge Along the Axial Zone of the Ultrafast-Spreading EPR at 17-18 Degree S; A Near-Bottom Photo/Acoustic Survey Using ARGO II, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE94-16996.
