Meteorological analysis model MESAN (AROME) - historical analysis data
收藏资源简介:
DESCRIPTION This dataset contains archived MESAN data up to and including the day before the withdrawal takes place. Data are available from December 2014. Previously, the corresponding data was delivered by MESAN (HIRLAM). Mesan is a meteorological analysis model that describes the current weather situation in grid cells. Every hour of the day, a two-dimensional survey of common weather parameters is carried out. What these are varies slightly over the day. Essentially, they describe meteorological conditions such as temperature, precipitation, clouds, visibility, humidity, wind and snow. The analysis is made over an area covering Scandinavia, the northern part of the continent and the Baltic states. Coordinates Coordinates of the area are given by the corners: 71.5N, 9.5W The grid cells are 2.5*2.5 km. USE Mesan data is used at SMHI to make weather maps that the meteorologist has as a basis in forecasting activities. If observations are missing, analyzed values can sometimes replace them. Mesan data is also used as input to other models, for example, to calculate runoff in our rivers or to map the risk of fires in forests and land. FORMAT Data is delivered in GRIB format.
