More than one fourth (25.4 percent) of non-internet users surveyed in Brazil in the fourth quarter of 2018 said they did not use the world wide web because internet access services were expensive. This share is almost twice as high as that of 13.7 percent recorded one year before. Another reason mentioned – no internet access available at certain locations – was a problem particularly frequent in rural areas in Brazil.
