ParaPathways (ETS 5757) Passing Scores by State Publisher: ParaPathways Practice Test — https://parapathwayspracticetest.com/License: CC BY 4.0Version: 1.0 (2026-10-30)Contact: [e-mail] About this dataset The ETS ParaPathways Assessment (test 5757) replaced the ParaPro Assessment on September 1, 2026 as the qualifying exam for paraprofessionals (paraeducators) in the United States. It has two subtests: 5758 — Reading and Writing (51 questions, 85 minutes) 5759 — Mathematics (36 questions, 60 minutes) Each subtest is scored on a 310–350 scale. ETS does not set passing scores; each state sets its own. This dataset records, for every US state plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the official ParaPathways passing score for each subtest — or records that the state has not yet published one. This dataset is maintained by ParaPathways Practice Test (https://parapathwayspracticetest.com/), a free practice test for the ETS 5757 exam with pass-probability scoring after every session and weak-area breakdowns mapped to state cut scores. Coverage (2026-10-30) 28 jurisdictions have published scores: 26 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 24 states have not published a ParaPathways passing score. For those states ETS still lists only a ParaPro score (statewide or district-level), or the state does not appear on ETS's State Requirements list. Their old ParaPro scores are deliberately not included in this dataset. No state uses a combined/total score. Every publishing state requires passing each subtest separately, so combined_passing_score is empty by design. The most common passing scores are 332 (Reading & Writing) and 334 (Mathematics), the ETS multistate standard-setting recommendation. Divergent states: Arkansas 324/325, Washington 324/325, Missouri 322/325, Minnesota 332/332, Nevada 329/334, Utah 329/334. No test-prep site, tutoring company, or other commercial source was used for any value. Where two official sources disagree, the dataset keeps the state education agency's value (or, for Utah, the state board's) and documents the conflict in notes: Arkansas: state DOE says 324/325; ETS lists 322/325. Nevada: ETS says 329/334; a still-proposed Nevada regulation says 332/334. Utah: the State Board of Education published 329/334 in September 2026; ETS's page had not yet been updated.
