GHSL-based Chinese urban entities (1975-2020)

Accurately defining urban entity (UE) is essential for understanding the urbanization process, assessing environmental impacts, and developing effective urban planning, particularly in China, where urbanization is rapid and characterized by a complex urban-rural structure. Utilizing Global Human Settlement Layer data, we produced the China Urban Entity dataset from 1975 to 2020, achieving an overall accuracy of 90.19%.

精准界定城市实体（urban entity, UE）对于理解城市化进程、评估环境影响以及制定科学有效的城市规划至关重要，尤其在城市化进程快速推进且城乡结构复杂的中国更是如此。本研究借助全球人类住区图层（Global Human Settlement Layer）数据，构建了1975年至2020年的中国城市实体数据集，整体准确率达90.19%。
