With the continuous progress of research, the impact of the gut microbiota on cognitive function has garnered increasing attention. A study on the effects of cigarette smoke on the gut microbiota of mice and its association with cognitive dysfunction aims to explore the influence of cigarette smoke exposure on the gut microbiota composition and structure in mice, as well as the potential mechanisms underlying the relationship between gut microbiota disorders and cognitive dysfunction. The study will establish a mouse model of cigarette smoke exposure, employ advanced technologies such as 16S rRNA sequencing to analyze changes in gut microbiota, and assess cognitive function using behavioral tests. Additionally, it will examine the expression of related neural and inflammatory factors in the brain. This research holds significant relevance as it helps elucidate the pathogenesis of cognitive dysfunction in smokers, providing a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of cognitive impairments associated with smoking.
