Here we include the simulations obtained for the manuscript "Predictors of food web resistance to environmental change" (currently under review). These simulations verify different rules for the resistances of food web communities discussed in the article, about how the food web structure and the distribution of tolerances affect the food wbe resistance. The software employed to get these results is at https://github.com/javjarillo/getreal_model. The included folders are result_simulations_TA_macroinvertebrates: Results of spatially explicit simulations for realistic macroinvertebrates communities at dendritic, river-like spatial netwoks (100 nodes). Tw type of output files are provided per Typical Assemblage (XXX) and pollutant (YYY): NewTA_XXX_v17_PolVelRiv_ChangeDispChem05_new_NET_OCNet_MOA_YYY_Nodes_100_v4_NewTomInput_corrected_v3.csv: alpha, beta, and gamma diversity, and fraction of remaining predators and flying taxa, for connected (with dispersal) and disconnected (without disperal) spatial networks. NewTA_XXX_v17_PolVelRiv_ChangeDispChem05_new_SUMM_OCNet_MOA_YYY_Nodes_100_v4_NewTomInput_corrected_v3.csv: Final abundance of each taxon in the community, for connected (with dispersal) or disconnected (without disperal) spatial networks. results_simulations_random_communities: Simulation results for random communities, including these files extinction_ln_histograms_v3_max_min.csv. Number of remaining prey and predators species from initial communities of 10 prey and 5 predators, for different coefficients of variation of model paramenters. (Fig. 2) extinction_ln_histograms_v4_simplified_newvals_min_max_fixed.csv. Number of remaining prey and predators from initial communities with different numbers of prey and predators. Input data for the macroinvertebrate community simulations, organized in two subfolders: newTAs: traits and predation network files for each typical assemblage (XXX): Tachet_NewTA_XXX_210317_chems_v4_b.csv Taxa forming the typical assemblages, together with their traits Tachet_NewTA_XXX_201317_gen_predation_connectionsYYY.csv attack rates of the predators towards the prey taxa within the communities, considering different scenarios: (Standard option): the attack rate is different to zero just if a predator has been reported to food on a specific prey, using the GLOBI database; the attack rates of predators towards the prey are modulated by the size traits of the taxa Tachet_NewTA_XXX_201317_gen_predation_connetions.csv All predators feed on all available prey, with an attack rate modulated by the size traits: Tachet_NewTA_XXX_201317_gen_predation_connetions_eatall_traits.csv All predators feed on all available prey, with an equal attack rate (not depending on theirs traits): Tachet_NewTA_XXX_201317_gen_predation_connetions_eatall_NOTRAITS.csv river_nws: randomly generated dendritic river networks used in the simulations: river_XXX_nodes_YYY_repl_NODES.csv: position and characteristics of each network node (XXX = number of nodes, YYY = replicate). river_XXX_nodes_YYY_repl_EDGES.csv: connectivity matrix indicating which nodes are connected. data_disturbed: Community composition data obtained from field samples across different European countries, at varying levels of disturbance estimated from the potentially flooded area (PFA).
