Landscape ribosomal occupancy of retinal development

As a vital representative of the central nervous system, retinal development is a complex process mediated by a variety of gene regulatory pathways to guarantee its proper composition and function. However previous studies were only limited at transcriptome level, the role of the translatome and cooridination between the two omics were still unknown. Furthermore, time is an often-overlooked aspect. Here, we employed parallel transcriptome and translatome analyses to study translational dynamics of retinogenesis from embryonic phase to mature state.
