MODIS is a vital on-board sensor aboard the Terra and Aqua satellites. It is the only satellite-borne instrument on these satellites that directly broadcasts real-time observation data to the entire world via the X-band, allowing free data reception and unrestricted utilization of the acquired datasets. MOD07 is a standard Level 2 and 3 atmospheric data product containing atmospheric profile data. It has a spatial resolution of 1 kilometer under Lambert projection, and a geographic coordinate resolution of 30 arc-seconds. Daily datasets are classified as Level 2 products, while datasets compiled over dekads (10-day periods) and monthly periods are categorized as Level 3 products.
