This is an experimental study testing treatment protocols designed by The Nature Conservancy, and the National Park Service, in coordination with pest control specialists and academic researchers for the control of Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) populations on Santa Cruz Island, CA. The project will evaluate the efficacy of new dispersal methods and the product Optigard® Flex Insecticide when combined with two types of attractants and investigate the effect of treatment on non-target organisms.
