A healthy 2-year-old P. cantorii reared in the breeding center of the Pearl River Fisheries Research Institute, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, was used for genome sequencing and assembly.
The present project aims to sequence the first mitochondrial genomes of Travisiidae (Annelida), analyzed its mitogenomic features, and reconstructed a phylogeny of Sedentaria.
The complete mitogenome sequence of M.cristata will provide a robust resource for understanding the phylogenetic relationship and the evolutionary history within the subclass Sedentaria.
