"Precision livestock farming (PLF) increasingly leverages tri-axial 3D accelerometer data to monitor dairy management, cow welfare, and productivity. Researchers classify discrete behaviors such as activity, rumination and grazing with high granularity by capturing movement patterns via sensors. These data streams processed through machine learning algorithms enable the early detection of subclinical lameness and metabolic disorders. While providing a non invasive window into individual animal health, the transition from raw signals to biological insights remains a complex challenge. This study evaluates the correlation between rhythmic acceleration patterns and physiological states. It highlights the potential for automated and real time herd management."
