Studying the function of Srb in mycobacteria

RNA-Seq based results for Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv and Mycobacterium smegmatis mc2 155 and their derivative strains. We have identified Srb as an RNA-binding protein in mycobacteria. To identify putative ligands, RNA that co-immunoprecipitated with Srb was sequenced. Results of the next-generation sequencing on the Novaseq 6000 platform are provided for four biological replicates of each strain type. We also extracted total RNA isolated from wild-type and srb knockout strains, sequencing three biological replicates of each type on the same Illumina plaform. These experiments were performed in exponential and stationary phase of growth.
