GB Road Accidents

These files provide detailed data about the circumstances of personal injury road accidents in GB between 2005 and 2010, the types of vehicles involved and the consequential casualties. The statistics relate only to personal injury accidents on public roads that are reported to the police, and subsequently recorded, using the STATS19 accident reporting form. Each year is contained in a separate file. An additional excel file containing an explanation of the codes that are used in the data sets has been included. Data sourced from Department of Transport (http://www.dft.gov.uk/data/release/10092) and then converted to shapefiles using QGIS. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2011-09-29 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
