This simulation contains files to generate 1250 synthetic storms interacting with 1250 different cross-beach nourishment profiles to assess erosion impacts with the XBeach model. The project contains processing scripts to create synthetic storms based on historical information, to create nourishment profiles based on surveys from 2011-2019 in Nags Head, NC. Analysis scripts are also provided to identify the beach scarp generated in XBeach and create a Gaussian Process Regression model to predict an exponential fit for the eroded scarp.
