Soil borne legacy on future rice healh

In this study, we aimed to analyse the leaf/root and rhizosphere microbiota associated with healthy and diseased rice plants from Cambodian fields. Controlled experiments were then carried out to understand how this microbiome affects rice phenotype in a subsequent cycle. This next generation of plants was then infected with either Xoo or Xoc and the effect of foliar infection on root/rhizosphere microbiota was analysed.
