资源简介:
Some morbidities reduce work capacity and are strongly associated with the absence of efficient promotion and prevention and monitoring of the disease, such as HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis. Persons subjected to penalties of deprivation of freedom may be considered to be at high risk for Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection and viral hepatitis, due to the conditions pportunists found inside prisons for the spread of disease, e.g. overcrowding, promiscuity, unprotected sex in homosexual relationships, sharing razor blades, using illicit drugs, tattooing in unsafe conditions. Research involving the scenario of the population deprived of liberty in Brazilian penitentiaries are still incipient, especially those that seek to monitor diseases such as HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis, so this project has the main objective of measuring the prevalence of HIV and hepatitis B and C and their associations in prisoners of the prison system of Paraná. This is a cross-sectional epidemiological study, with the application of questionnaires and serological tests for HIV and hepatitis B and C, totaling a sample of 1,225 prisoners. The data presented here are from the individuals tested for HIV - case control.
