Digital Inclusive Finance and household entrepreneurial performance

The dataset provides the relevant data and code for paper.The research subject of this paper is the families undergoing industrial and commercial operation projects, and the data is derived from three main sources: First, the Chinese Household Finance Survey (CHFS), which has been handled as follows: (1) only keep households aged 16-65 years old; (2) eliminate the samples of households without industrial and commercial operation projects; and (3) eliminate the samples of the municipality directly under the Central Government. Second, the China Digital Inclusive Finance Index, as published by the Digital Finance Research Center at Peking University. Third, regional data extracted from annual statistical yearbooks. Employing a mixed cross-sectional model, this study reveals that digital inclusive finance positively influences the performance of family entrepreneurship.In terms of functional mechanisms, the research integrates indicators of regional scientific and technological innovation, credit environment, and market integration. It demonstrates that optimizing the external entrepreneurial environment—encompassing the enhancement of regional credit conditions, the stimulation of regional innovation, and the advancement of market integration—is a pivotal pathway through which digital finance elevates entrepreneurial performance.Furthermore, based on the variations in the characteristics of entrepreneurial entities and regional features within the data, this paper finds that the impact of digital inclusive finance on entrepreneurial performance is particularly pronounced among families with medium to high financial literacy, those residing in different localities, and those in more economically developed areas.
