The main goal of this numerical investigation was to check an accuracy of five turbulence models for various hydrodynamical (Reynolds number) and geometrical (nozzle to impingement plate distance) cases. The local Nusselt number distribution along the heated wall was selected as an output parameter for such analyzes and then compared with experimental and numerical studies available in the literature. The collection contains 80 different numerical results, conducted with the same setup, with the same solver etc. Database contains: - inputs (4 meshes and 20 inlet profiles) - outputs (80 Nusselt number distribution files, and 80 ANSYS Fluent case&data files) Summary: Fluid mechanics and heat transfer numerical analysis Software: ANSYS Fluent v18.1 (Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Volume Method) Analysis type: steady-state RANS Geometry: 2D axisymmetric model (round nozzle) Fluid: air (constant properties, Newtonian, incompressible) Boundary conditions: inlet (fully developed profile with constant temperature), heated wall (constant heat flux), outlet (pressure-outlet) Inputs: Reynolds number values (Re = 10000, 20000, 23000, 30000), inlet nozzle to impingement plate distance (H/D = 1, 2, 4, 6), turbulence models (k-omega SST Kato-Launder, k-epsilon RNG Kato-Launder, Intermittency Transition, Transition SST, v2-f) Output: local Nusselt number (Nu) distribution at heated wall
