Total domestic physical album sales in South Korea 2013-2023

In 2023, around 115.2 million music albums were sold in South Korea. This includes both domestically sold albums, and those sold overseas by certified vendors. It also represents a roughly 49 percent increase since the previous year, as well as a staggering 1,294 percent increase over the past decade. While digital music streaming is popular in the country, buying physical albums is particularly popular among K-pop fans, which helps drive physical album sales.
