This series comprises a collection of papers, photographs and correspondence used in research by Miss Violet Randall who wrote and researched an unpublished history of Melbourne Electric Supply Company (MES Co.) between 1936 and 1937.It appears that these papers were utilised in the research of Brown power: A jubilee history of the State Electricity Commission. This book was written by Cecil Edwards and published in 1969. (For related files and papers connected with the research for the Edwards history see VPRS 9680.) This series also contains essays written by various authors on the subject of electricity and the administration of the SEC.
