Microbiome dynamics, Immune Response, and Neuropsychological Symptoms in COVID-19 patients

This study explores the relationship between physical and neuropsychology symptoms, inflammatory profile, and gut microbiome of hospitalized COVID-19 patients. We performed full-length 16S rRNA gene sequencing using the Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION for gut microbiome profiling. Our findings suggest that physical and neuropsychological symptoms are associated with systemic inflammation and gut dysbiosis in COVID-19 patients.
