Occurrences of FFH habitat types in North Rhine-Westphalia WFS

The FFH habitat types service in North Rhine-Westphalia contains regional spatial data on the occurrence (actual situation in the real world) of the FFH habitat types within the meaning of the INSPIRE Annex III topic “Habitats and biotopes (HB)”. The data shows the occurrences at the scale level 1:5,000. The data reflect the level of knowledge for the past mapping year and are usually published in parallel with the FFH data delivery to the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (until 31.5.). The object metadata for the occurrence data of the FFH habitat types in North Rhine-Westphalia contains: inspireId; Coding scheme (ReferenceHabitatType-SchemeValue), e.g. Habitat Directive; Code (ReferenceHabitatType-CodeValue), e.g. “7110” and referenceHabitatTypeName: CharacterString and localHabitatName: LocalNameType [0..1], e.g. “7110* Living bogs”. In addition, there are information on vegetation types and plant species. Special features: These are dot, line and surface objects. The data is freely accessible. The data shall be collected as a basis for the FFH reporting obligation under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive and digitised for these purposes. The data must be made public on the Internet in North Rhine-Westphalia on the basis of § 3 of the Land Nature Protection Act.
