»Ihr Baby braucht Sie, Ihre Liebe, Ihre Nähe und Ihre Zärtlichkeit!« (Normative) Konstruktionen von Elternschaft und Elternaufgaben in Settings der Natalität »Your Baby needs you, your love, your closeness and your tenderness!« (Normative) constructions of parenthood and parents’ tasks in settings of natality

Kinder und Erwachsene sind untrennbar miteinander verbunden, da Kinder auf Assistenz und Sorge angewiesen sind. Dieses relationale Verhältnis gilt als natürliche Ordnung zwischen Kindern und Erwachsenen und die zugehörigen Aufgaben werden oftmals als »natürliche« Bestandteile von Elternschaft gedeutet. Unbeachtet bleibt dabei jedoch häufig, dass die Zuschreibungen, was ein Kind zum guten Aufwachsen braucht und wer diese Aufgaben übernimmt, sowohl historisch als auch im jeweiligen kulturellen Kontext relativ sind und damit auch das, was Elternschaft ausmacht, sozial konstruiert ist. Auf Grundlage ethnografischer Beobachtungen in Geburtsinformations- und Bildungsveranstaltungen soll im Folgenden gezeigt werden, dass diese Relationalität zwischen Eltern- und Kindschaft bereits pränatal hergestellt wird. Der Beitrag fragt aus einer praxisanalytischen Perspektive danach, wie mittels spezieller Kindschaftsentwürfe den werdenden Eltern bestimmte Mutterschafts-, Vaterschafts- und Elternschaftspraxen abverlangt werden und nimmt dabei zugleich auch die auftretenden Geschlechterdifferenzen in den Blick. Children and adults are intrinsically tied to each other due to children’s need of assistance and care. This relational order is deemed as natural order between children and parents. The associated tasks are interpreted as natural elements of parenthood. The relativeness of the idea of »growing up well« and of attributed responsibilities for the needs and tasks associated with it are often disregarded in their historical and cultural dimensions. The concept of parenthood is a social construction as well. Based on ethnographic observations in settings of natality, this article tries to demonstrate that the relation between parenthood and childhood is even antenataly constructed. Taking the described scenario into account the article asks, from a praxeological point of view, how certain concepts of childhood demand special mother-, father- and parenthood practices from parents to be.
