PacBio HiFi, Illumina, and Hi-C sequencing data and the assembled genome of a sexually mature male Catharsius molossus (Shennong clean dung beetle) collected from Hunan, China.

We selected a male Catharsius molossus beetle collected from Longhui County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, China for high-throughput sequencing and genome assembly. The individual in this experiment has a moderate body size, good health condition, and has reached sexual maturity. During the sample delivery process, ensure that the provided samples are uncontaminated anterior chest muscle and testicular tissue. We used Illumina, PacBio HiFi, and Hi-C technologies for DNA long short fragment sequencing and 3D genome conformation determination, and assembled the genome using HiFiasm (version 0.19.8-r603) software.
