Data and code: Unstructured community science data reveal constriction of breeding distribution for a common montane bird across the Fennoscandian peninsula

Formatted data and code for running models from the manuscipt: Unstructured community science data reveal constriction of breeding distribution for a common montane bird across the Fennoscandian peninsula. exampleModel.R includes code to run the model from the manuscript both using the full dataset and using the toy dataset provided. fullDataset.RDS includes the full dataset used in the manuscript, including 550,784 observations from community science portals (observations available independently at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17397921), formatted for the occupancy analysis. This dataset is large and runs very slowly! smallDataset_1000sites.RDS includes a smaller toy dataset that can be used to run the code with a subset of 1000 sites, instead of the full 49,455 sites included in the manuscript. The model fit to this dataset runs in closer to 15 minutes. Caution: the results from this smaller dataset run through the model code WILL NOT match results in the manuscript because it is a very small subset of sites! It is provided so readers can see how the code works in a (more) reasonable amount of time.
