Analysis of pericentromeric DNA sequences of Darevskia lizards

Here we study a trio of Darevskia species: D. raddei nairensis, D. valentini and their parthenogenetic hybrid D. unisexualis. We sequence the pericentromeric chromosome regions of the two parental species to analyze and compare their tandem repeat content and to design fluorescent DNA probes discriminating parental subgenomes in the hybrid karyotype of D. unisexualis.
