This database covers all life forms ranging from bacteria to eukaryotes, and provides browsable and downloadable tree-structured data. The Open Tree of Life project is funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), and is part of the AVAToL (Assembling, Visualizing, and Analyzing the Tree of Life) project.
