Older Offenders in Canadian Federal Corrections: Needs and Institutional and Legal Responses 2014

This study is a broad, interview-based investigation into the quality of life of male offenders in Canadian correctional institutions over the age 50. It was designed to deal with two matters. First, the social and health sciences aspect of it was intended to bring the much needed hard data on the needs of older male offenders to the Canadian literature. Second, the legal part of it was meant to interpret the data on the criminal law and human rights Canadian background in an attempt to find the support needed to drive reform in this correctional area.
