资源简介:
Peters' clawed frog (Xenopus petersii) is in the Pipidae frog family found throughout parts of central and southern Africa. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests (modified from Wikipedia entry). This sample is from a breeding colony at Xenopus Express, in Florida, with the original source population from the Congo. The sample (aXenPet1) and the parents (mother aXenPet2 and father aXenPet3) were collected by Darcy Kelley at Columbia University, and coordinated in collaboration with Andres Bendensky, Richard Harland, and Young Kwon, to be used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
