Functional Annotation of differentially expressed genes

We investigated the underlying mechanisms of the sterility fish, Tg(kop:KalTA4;UAS:bmf1), using high-throughput transcriptome analysis. Samples from the control group of wild type fish (WT) and the sterility fish of Tg(kop:KalTA4;UAS:bmf1) (named Tg) are clearly distinguished by principal component analysis. Compared with the control group of wild type fish, 6044 genes were upregulated and 8880 genes were downregulated as a result of ablation of primordial germ cells in the sterility fish.
