Two sites in Pará gave indications of bottlenecks during the 1990s based on the He excess test and the test for an Allele Frequency mode shift. During the 1990s, Porto Velho, Rondônia appeared to be in mutation drift equilibrium according to the He excess test though it trended towards significance. In addition, Porto Velho had a significant allele frequency distribution test when the 1990s data was divided between 1996 and 1998–1999m which suggests there had been a bottleneck.
