ARIA-SG Flood Proxy Maps: Japan Typhoon Hagibis, Oct 2019

These preliminary Flood Proxy Maps (FPM) show areas which are likely flooded in various parts of Japan due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon Hagibis. These maps were derived from synthetic aperture radar data acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) and ALOS-2 satellites operated by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Analysed by the ARIA-SG team at the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) in collaboration with NASA-JPL and Caltech.
