Outputs from the script for scaling streamflow inputs to lakes in ISIMIP3a (Global Water–Lake Sector coupling)

The outputs were generated by a script that scales streamflow inputs to lakes as part of the ISIMIP3a global water–lake sector coupling. The script is available at: https://github.com/aiayalaz/Scaling-of-streamflow-inputs-to-lakes-ISIMIP3a. The outputs include monthly and yearly streamflow inputs to 70 lakes in Sweden, covering the period from January 1, 1901, to December 31, 2019. These data are provided in .xlsx files using three approaches: Ia, Ib (with two methods for selecting upstream grids — based on slopes and all grids), and II. Validation plots and performance metrics are also included, comparing the results with historical daily river discharge simulations from the HYPE hydrological model (https://doi.org/10.1080/02626667.2015.1027710), available at: https://hypeweb.smhi.se/explore-water/historical-data/europe-time-series, and with observed daily river discharge data available at: https://www.smhi.se/data.
