Tridacna squamosa and Symbiodiniaceae under thermal stress

We exposed the fluted giant clam, Tridacna squamosa, acquired from Vietnamese reefs through Xanh Tuoi Tropical Fish Co. Ltd (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), to control and heat-stress temperatures for 45 days. The relative composition of Symbiodiniaceae ITS2 rDNA phylotypes across ten different organs was determined using metabarcoding by next-generation sequencing techniques.
