资源简介:
This dataset contains full-scale field measurements collected from 18 buried flexible pipes installed under controlled embankment conditions. It was compiled by the authors through a field instrumentation program designed to monitor pipe deformation and soil stress during progressive fill placement.
The dataset includes 293 measurement records and covers two pipe materials (PVC and HDPE), six structural types (A-F), three inner diameters (762, 1067, and 1524 mm), two burial depths (6.1 m and 12.2 m), two backfill types (sand and crushed stone), and three relative compaction levels (86%, 90%, and 96%).
For each measurement stage, the recorded variables include fill height above the pipe crown, vertical deflection ratio (Δy/D, %), horizontal deflection ratio (Δx/D, %), vertical soil stress (σvc, kPa), and horizontal soil stress (σhs, kPa). The workbook also contains a separate sheet with static pipe properties, including material, pipe type, diameter, burial depth, backfill, relative compaction, unit weight, and bedding thickness.
The dataset has a grouped structure because multiple measurements belong to the same physical pipe. It is therefore suitable for grouped validation strategies such as Leave-One-Pipe-Out cross-validation and for studies comparing analytical formulas with machine learning models. The data can be used for research on buried flexible pipe behavior, soil-pipe interaction, interpretable machine learning, and field-based geotechnical prediction.
The dataset was collected, curated, and prepared by the authors from full-scale field instrumentation measurements. Numeric values originally recorded using Turkish decimal notation were converted during preprocessing for analysis.
