Providencia alcalifaciens is a member of the family Enterobacteriaceae that has been commonly implicated as a causative agent of diarrheal infection in humans and animals. In our study, we have sequenced and assembled a complete genome of a pathogenic strain 205/92, isolated from a stool sample of patient from Bangladesh. Following assembly and quality control, genome sequence was analysed by comparison with other P. alcalifaciens strains.
