资源简介:
Hyperuricemia is a prevalent metabolic disorder that exerts substantial influence on systemic metabolic homeostasis. Chicory, a traditional medicinal and edible plant, has attracted increasing attention for its potential to alleviate Hyperuricemia and related metabolic abnormalities. While the role of gut microbiota in Hyperuricemia has been extensively investigated, the therapeutic mechanisms of chicory-particularly its modulation of the gut microbiome and subsequent impact on host metabolism-remain incompletely elucidated. This study demonstrated that the combined administration of chicory-derived total sesquiterpene lactones and inulin, alleviated Hyperuricemia by remodeling the gut microbial community and correcting systemic metabolic disturbances, including uric acid dysregulation. Specifically, total sesquiterpene lactones and inulin intervention markedly enriched Faecalibaculum rodentium and Bacteroides acidifaciens, which significantly influenced key metabolic pathways related to lipids and amino acids. These metabolic shifts were strongly correlated with improvements in uric acid metabolism. Collectively, our work provides novel insights into the microbiota-metabolite interplay underlying total sesquiterpene lactones and inulin-mediated amelioration of Hyperuricemia, highlighting a promising therapeutic strategy for metabolic disorders associated with Hyperuricemia.
