Daily Reference Evapotranspiration derived from ERA5 and GEOS5 reanalysis

This dataset contains the daily reference evapotranspiration (RET) data from January 2018 to December 2022 for Africa and the Near East regions, derived from two reanalysis datasets: the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis, ERA5 (25 km) and the Goddard Earth Observing System version 5, GEOS5 (30 km). The method used to calculate RET is Penman-Monteith FAO-56 equation. The daily RET-ERA5 and RET-GEOS5 datasets are distributed in NetCDF format (file name convention: YYYY-MM-DD.nc), and compressed in RAR files.
