CAIRT Synthetic SO2 and sulphate aerosol 2034-01:2034-12

Results of the fast level-2 simulator (FL2S) of CAIRT developed within the Earth Explorer 11 Phase A Science and Requirements Consolidation Study (SciReC) – CAIRT. The simulation corresponds to a stratospheric aerosol injection experiment (GeoMIP) representing the first injection scenario, using CESM2(WACCM6) model outputs as input to assess the impact of CAIRT resolution and noise on sulfur species retrievals. The files contain SO₂ and H₂SO₄ volume mixing ratios, derived from the CESM2(WACCM6) simulations and degraded to the CAIRT resolution with added noise components. The data are provided on the intended CAIRT orbit and measurement sampling locations.
