Highspeed Aurora Imager data of Asymmetrically developing auroral surge observed at Tjoernes and Syowa

This is the set of tiff images that was used to analyse the asymmetrically developing aurora surge observed at Tjornes in Iceland and Syowa Station in Antarctica on September 22, 2018. Images are captured at a time resolution of 100 frames-per-seconds by high-speed aurora imager systems consisting of an electron-multiplier charge-coupled device (EMCCD) camera (ImagEM X2 C9100-23B, Hamamatsu Photonics) and a fisheye lens (FujinonFE185C086HA-1). The time averaging process was performed to create images every one second.
